Born in Argentina, Maria Clara began dancing at the age of five. At the age of ten she was accepted in the Ruben Chayan Ballet School in Mar del Plata and joined the company three years later. She danced with the company for a period of 5 years performing roles in Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Bayadere, Who Cares, Esmeralda, Quixote, La Silphyde, Paquita, Divertimento and Mid-Summer Night's dream, amongst others. She also performed various guest roles in the Raul Gatto Company in Buenos Aires. After moving to Buenos Aires Clara Joined the Julio Bocca's Ballet school. Soon after that, she joined Utopia de la danza Company, performing Marea and Cuerpos under the direction of Sergio Berto. Clara later joined the Neoclassical Buenos Aires Ballet under the direction of Guido De Benedetti, performing many company and soloist roles in Romeo and Juliet, Moliere and Rock and Tango Passion.



After moving to London in 2007, Clara’s career took a commercial turn as she danced for artists like Madonna, Beyonce, Paloma Faith, Dance Space Engineering Company, Street Dance the movie 3D, she was screened at the Royal Collage of Music with live orquestra in the reel 'September' directed by Marcus Waterloo, and inspired artists like Ayuko Sugiura to create new art work for her exhibition ‘Second Skin”.

In 2011 Clara traveled to New York City where she worked with former New York City Ballet dancer Mary Helen Bowers as a trainer for celebrities and appeared as a featured dancer in many music videos for various record label bands. In 2012 Clara returned to London where she danced and choreographed for companies, creative projects, events, and documentaries. After more than 22 years of experience in the performing arts industry around the world, today Maria Clara is the Founder and Artistic Director of the new London based company NeoBallet.
